Adam Levine Quitting ‘The Voice’ Next Season To Start Family With Behati Prinsloo — Report
“Adam has had enough of The Voice,” a source close to the Maroon 5 singer told Life & Style magazine. The show kicked off its tenth season on Feb. 29, and after five years of spinning around in his chair, Adam is ready to go out on a high note and “make this his final season.”
What could make Adam pull a Cee-Lo Green, 41, Usher, 37, and Shakira, 39, and give up his seat to someone else? Kids. Adam and his wife, Behati, “really want to start a family,” the source tells Life & Style. Considering that Adam said in 2015 that a baby with Behati was arriving “soon,” it looks like he’s tired of waiting! While having a family is the main reason he’s reportedly qutting the show, Adam also doesn’t want to overstay his welcome. “He doesn’t want to stick around until the show is in decline,” the source tells Life & Style. Ooh. Is Adam throwing some shade towards American Idol?
The show is ending after fifteen years, but its final season premiere pulled in disappointing ratings, according to The Wrap. Maybe Adam wants to go out on top? But after he reportedly says good-bye, Adam might come back, as the source says he’s “open to revisiting the show in a couple of years as a mentor.”
