Jon was betrayed by the men of the Night’s Watch and brutally stabbed. David revealed that, yes, Jon Snow is truly dead in an interview with our sister site Deadline. To further stick the knife in every fan’s back, Kit confirmed he is not returning for season six. “I’ve been told I’m dead,” Kit told Entertainment Weekly. “I’m dead. I’m not coming back next season. So that’s all I can tell you, really.”
This is all just too much. Only Ned and Robb Stark’s deaths have truly rivaled what we just saw. We never saw this coming. Rest in peace, Jon Snow. We’ll always love you.

George R.R. Martin left Jon’s fate ambiguous in A Dance With Dragons, and he has yet to release the next book in the series. Well, now we know what to expect, unless George has some tricks up his sleeve. Kit dished in his post-mortem interview that he knows nothing about what’s to come.
“They sat me down and said, ‘This is how it is.’ If anything in the future is not like that, then I don’t know about it – it’s only in David and Dan and George’s heads,” he told EW.
