Royalty Brown: Chris Brown’s Daughter Takes His Last Name After Custody Agreement
Nia and Chris met in mediation on Sept. 28 to try and hash out the details without a judge, and they’ve come to an agreement. Not only will Royalty’s name officially be recognized as “Royalty Brown,” with no middle name, but it’s been set in stone where she’ll spend time each month.

The pair decided on join physical and legal custody, with the 26-year-old getting his daughter 12 days a month with no supervised visitation, according to TMZ. Chris will also play Nia $2,500 a month along with $15,000 in back support. In addition, he’ll be paying for the adorable toddler’s schooling, health insurance, medical bills and nannies.
Chris and Nia have been battling over what the arrangement with their daughter would be for months, and on Sept. 11, they met in court to take the next step. At that time, Chris received his first big victory when a judge awarded him 50/50 custody even though Nia tried to deny him any custodial rights and only give him supervised visitation. The singer was SO thrilled about the outcome, and we can only imagine how excited he is now that his little girl officially has his name, too. The duo are now just waiting a judge’s approval on their settlement.
Needless to say, Chris is pretty happy about how things worked out today. He even took to Twitter after things were settled and wrote, “Court went great today. Glad this all worked out.” And we are, too! Nia is thrilled, as well, and wrote on Instagram after the meeting, “Sending my thank you to my legal team. I’m so happy with OUR outcome today! #ILoveMyZillahAndRoyalty #ParentsFirstBullshitLast #WeLoveRoyaltly.” See, even after all these two have been through, even they know that putting parenting first is most important!
