Luke Kirby & Katie Holmes Dating? — Co-Stars Get Close On Set Of ‘Mania Days’
Sources are saying that the two have been spending more and more time together — off set. Besides their joint lunches in her trailer, Katie and Luke have been spotted walking the streets of NYC’s Greenwich Village and sharing meals. Katie recently even tried to evade the paparazzi, allegedly leaving Luke on the side of the street as she hopped in a cab. They weren’t apart for long, though, as the two reportedly met up just minutes later around the block at a Middle Eastern restaurant.
The Movie Making It All Happen
Katie and Luke star in Mania Days as two manic depressives who become romantically involved after meeting in a psychiatric ward. A source close to the situation explains to OK! magazine that it was the content of the film that helped the co-stars develop their own relationship. “While making the film, there have been some genuinely funny moments, and some incredibly sad moments, so Luke and Katie became really close,” the source says.
Tom Cruise Reacts To The Budding New Romance
Katie may be over the moon in her new relationship, but the other half of TomKat is reportedly less than thrilled. While Tom smiled and seemed happy as he walked the red carpet of the Star Trek Into Darkness premiere recently, sources told OK! that it was all a front. In reality, the star is apparently furious and jealous by the situation.
The source says, “I don’t think he’s ready to face up to Katie and Luke. When he found out about her dinner with Luke and how she tried to evade the photographers, well, Tom was not happy. That was a real moment of fear for him.”
Does Luke Have a Leg Up?
In the battle between ex Tom Cruise and new flame Luke Kirby, who wins? Kirby takes the height AND age category, as the new love stands at 6-feet tall, while Cruise is 5-foot-7, two inches shorter than Holmes. And while Tom is 16 years her senior, Katie and Luke are both 34 (he’s even six months OLDER!).
