J. Cole Married: Ryan Coogler Accidentally Reveals Rapper’s Secret During Interview
When Ryan and J. Cole sat down for a chat during a live stream #MLKNow event for Martin Luther King Day in New York, the Creed director asked J. Cole, “How did getting married change you?” Judging by the way that J. Cole responded, that wasn’t a previously discussed question!
“Oh, what is that my man?” As J. Cole awkwardly laughed off the revealing question, Ryan admitted, “I’ve never interviewed somebody before, is that off limits?” To which J. Cole laughingly responded, “That was like one thing to not do. But it’s all good…They know now.” Watch the whole thing go down below!

Although J. Cole didn’t exactly want fans to know about his marriage, he was a pretty great sport about the accidental reveal. Not surprisingly, though, Ryan didn’t proceed to ask any more wedding questions!
While it’s unclear when J. Cole and Melissa actually tied the knot, it wasn’t incredibly shocking to hear of their marriage. The two have been together for 10 years after meeting in college, and reportedly got engaged in 2015. J. Cole and Melissa may not have been prepared for their marriage to be made public, but regardless, congratulations are in order!
