Avril Lavigne VS. Taylor Swift: Fans Speak Out & Take Sides Amidst Online Feud
In the photo collage which Taylor liked, Tay is seen interacting with some of her many fans, literally hugging and kissing them. Unfavorably, pics of other artists are seen, showing less intimate meetings. Britney Spears is pictured, looking on the brink of awkward combustion, posing with a fan while being sure not to let any of her limbs touch the poor guy.
Similarly, Kanye West could not have looked less pleased to be taking a selfie with two beaming fans, and Katy Perry stood at a literal arm’s length from one of her fans, only touching his shoulders. In Avril’s pic she is photographed standing near a fan (“next to” would be a bit too generous), smiling nervously.
However, Avril wants Taylor– and everyone– to know that she loves her fans just as much as Taylor, and it serves no one to judge others. “Comparison is judging and judging a person does not define who they are it defines who you are,” Avril Tweeted following Taylor’s apparent approval of the fan-created pic collage. “We all Love our fans,” she added, posting a link to the original picture.
