Louis Tomlinson Spills 1D’s Time Off Will Last 18 Months: Prepare For 547 Directionless Days
Even the rich and famous need a break sometimes! While 1D officially announced they are planning on taking a year and a half off, they will indeed be returning to the spotlight after that. “You are not going to be away for too long are you? Not years and years?” Alan asked the boys diring the show which airs on Dec. 11. Fortunately, Louis settled fan’s nerves saying, “‘No. Let’s give it 18 months.” Phew! Any longer without having some direction would be way too much!
The boys say they are looking forward to having some time for themselves and to spend with their families. It seems like the hiatus is coming at a perfect time too with Louis expecting his first child next year and Niall heating things up with his new fling, Selena Gomez.
‘This time last year I couldn’t have told you what I was doing, and that is what we are looking forward to. Not having to set an alarm every day,” Niall said. The heartthrobs revealed the decision to take the much deserved break was one the band’s boss, Simon Cowell, completely agreed with.
Most importantly, while on the show, Harry Styles also dispelled all rumors of breaking off from the band to go solo. “We all write kind of separately and for other people and do stuff and bring it back, and that is it really,” the singer said. So rest assured, super fans, Harry won’t be pulling a Zayn anytime soon!
