“He and his mom go back and forth,” a source close to Chris EXCLUSIVELY explains to HollywoodLife.com. “One day they’re cool, the next minute they’re not. He knows Mama J wants nothing but the best for him but sometimes he doesn’t see it that way.”

We’ve been told that Joyce, the matriarch of Chris’ family, thinks her son hasn’t fully matured and desperately wants him to grow while he’s still young enough to change.

Since Chris has been living in an undisclosed rehabilitation center, we’re told he’s been thinking about life and his future and realizing that his mother will always have his back, even under the worst circumstances.

“She’s always going to be his moms,” the source says. “They’re working on their relationship and everything will fall into place.”
