Caleb Bankston: How He Died Revealed — He Was Crushed Between Two Train Cars
Caleb “was checking on something in the small space between two of the cars when the train went off the tracks,” TMZ is reporting, and, “Cops say the rear car slammed into the forward car … with Bankston caught helplessly in between.” That is so scary.
The outlet is reporting that it is still unknown what caused the derailment, and that while there was one other worker on the scene at the time, he was not injured.
The Federal Railroad Administration will conduct a separate investigation from the railway company’s safety officer since it was an industrial accident, Birmingham PD told TMZ.
Caleb Was Set To Marry Fiancé Colton Cumbie In October
Caleb leaves behind his fiancé, Colton Cumbie, who allegedly tweeted from his private account “I just wish it was me….” following news of the tragic accident, according to MailOnline. The two had competed together on Survivor: Blood vs. Water, and had planned to marry in October.
Fellow Survivor contestant Aras Baskauskas told People that “Caleb was an amazing man and friend. One of the sweetest and most sincere humans I’ve ever come across. I am gutted by his loss.”
