Scott Disick On Parents’ Deaths: Star Angry He Lost Parents At A Young Age
Poor Scott! He is clearly still suffering a tremendous amount after his mother, Bonnie Disick, 63, passed away in October 2013 following a long illness. As if that loss wasn’t great enough, Scott’s father, Jeffrey Disick, also passed just a few months later in January 2014.
It’s no wonder a depressed Scott was overwhelmed when Kourtney revealed that she was pregnant on KUWTK.
“I barely feel like I can take care of myself, I am hanging on by a string here,” Scott confessed during the episode. He also said that he was “so angry” to have lost his mother and father at a relatively young age.
Of course, we don’t condone Scott staying out all night after a work appearance in Mexico and worrying poor Kourtney. But we do think it’s important to put his shocking reaction into context.
“I definitely feel horrible that I put Kourtney through a rough time, especially now that she is pregnant,” Scott admitted during an emotional confessional. “But I honestly didn’t want to get back to reality, and I didn’t want to face anybody. It’s just a lot on my plate right now, especially with everything else that I’ve dealt with in the past year. I should have made a responsible decision, but I didn’t.”
Scott Disick Runs Away To Mexico After Kourtney’s Pregnancy Shocker
After Kourtney told Scott she was pregnant, he went to a work event in Cancun, Mexico. When he returned to LA, he called her to let her know that he had landed safely — but then he didn’t come home that night!
Kourtney was worried sick and she confronted him the next day, saying: “I’m glad that you’re home safe. But I just want you to know that it’s not okay, like you have a family. You can’t just say, ‘I landed, and then not never contact us. Like, that’s crazy. And not to mention I couldn’t sleep all night. I was worried, I kept checking your room every second thinking that you were literally dead.”
Our hearts go out to both Kourtney and Scott as he struggles to heal after his parents untimely deaths.
