It’s the second day in a row Laverne has spent at the beach. She’s spending some time off from the hit Netflix show that made her a household name. She became the first transgender person to receive a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award in the acting category for Orange is the New Black. However, she’ll be back to work after the holiday weekend to continue filming her TV show Doubt, opposite Katherine Heigl, 36.
These beach snaps are something else, and Laverne must have all the confidence in the world to rock that swimsuit — you go, girl!
Laverne Cox Gushes Over Finally Meeting Caitlyn Jenner
Laverne has also gone public with her support for Caitlyn Jenner, 65, who has undergone her own transformation. During her appearance on the Late Late Show, she told the host James Corden about meeting the Olympic hero.
“[It was] pretty awesome,” Laverne dished. “We had spoken on the phone several times. She called me the day after her ESPYs speech actually. She’s such a sweet woman, loves her family, and just thinking about that whole paparazzi life that she has, I don’t want that life.”
