Eminem Ballooned To 230 Lbs: He Reveals The Workouts That Got Him In Shape
“In 2007, I overdosed on pills, and I went into the hospital. I was close to 230 pounds. I’m not sure how I got so big, but I have ideas,” the 8 Mile star told Men’s Journal. So how did the multi-platinum rapper win his war with his weight? Like so many other Americans, he got into work out DVDs. “I know a lot of these DVD guys are wacky, but I’m alone in my gym; I need someone on the TV yelling to motivate me. Besides, some of this s*** is entertaining,” he admitted. The “Lose Yourself” singer started by using Shaun T’s Insanity workout DVD. He then moved onto the notoriously grueling P90X workout and now he does the Body Beast workout DVD every day. Sounds intense but we have to agree that addiction to fitness is certainly better than addiction to drugs.

Eminem has made his career on controversy, but the rapper may have finally gone too far when he called out Caitlyn Jenner, 65, in one of his free style raps. “I see the b**** in you, Cailtyn, I keep the pistol tucked like Bruce Jenner’s d***,” he sang. Realizing how controversial that might be, he thought on the spot and quickly retaliated. “No disrespect, though. Not at all. No pun intended, that took a lot of balls, though.” At least he did compliment her in the end, but still, at a time when she needs more support than ever, Em’s rap seems poorly timed.
