Ruby Rose’s Beautiful Braids At EMAs — Get The Look On Short Hair
Castillo was the hair expert behind Ruby’s double braided style, and he told Allure.com that while it’s a bit of a challenge, it’s very much possible with the right styling products and enough bobby pins. To start, Castillo worked Bumble and Bumble Semisumo Pomade through the sections of Ruby’s hair that he was braiding to add grip.
Castillo gave Ruby a deep side part and French braided each side, starting near her hairline and creating a tight braid, placing two bobby pins in an X shape to keep the braids in place. After each side had been braided, he used Joico Flip Turn Volumizing Finishing Spray for more hold and added more pomade as needed to give the style a sleek finish.

The rest of Ruby’s look was equally amazing, with bold brows to rival Cara Delevingne and a gorgeous nude lip. Makeup artist Toby Fleischman used Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipstick in Stark Naked for the perfect nude color.
