‘AHS: Hotel’ Recap: The Countess Finds New Blood In Tristan
So it was pretty eye opening when she decided to turn Tristan into a vampire, and have seriously intense sex in a bath tub. But their connection was more — she revealed that she was 111 years old (damn, girl!), and that Tristan reminded her of someone. We can assume that’s why all the men look the same. When Donovan (a man of my own heart, who would rather watch House of Cards than go out) came in and caught them, she kicked him out. Just like that, Tristan was the new man of the hour.
During the show, Will’s son showed Det. John Lowe (Wes Bentley)’s daughter, Scarlett, the basement – and yup, it was filled with all of The Countess’ children in caskets, sleeping. She obviously recognized her brother, but when she returned alone later, she found him in the kid’s epic play room. He recognized her — but he hasn’t grown up, while she has. She even took a picture with him — naturally, when she ran home and tried telling her parents, they didn’t believe her.
Introducing Mr. March
So that caused Lowe to dig further and force Iris (Kathy Bates) to tell him the truth about the hotel: In 1925, Mr. James Patrick March (Evan Peters) created the hotel, AKA a torture chamber with secret shoots and hallways with no exits. He was married to a woman (The Countess), and together they tortured and killed for fun. He was turned in, by who we can assume was his wife, and then killed himself – oh yeah, and his office was Room 64. .
We got a brief shot of Det. Lowe revealing his alcohol-fueled past to Sally (Sarah Paulson), and we have a feeling they have quite the future coming. Especially since he started putting more things together, he realized the connection to his current case. When Iris told Lowe the story of Mr. March, he pieced it together: he was sent an Oscar statue, because the killer was a “Gold Derby” blogger, and he was picking up where Mr. March left off.
Alright guys, that was really bloody, AMIRIGHT?
