LeBron James & Savannah Brinson Tie The Knot
After welcoming guests with a barbecue feast on Friday, Sept. 13, at the Grand Del Mar, LeBron and Savannah said “I do” during a festive wedding ceremony on Saturday afternoon, according to Page Six.
As expected, the wedding’s guest list was absolutely star-studded, though not as long as most superstar athlete’s lists can be. “He cut the list down because he didn’t want to have 1,000 people at the wedding,” a source told Page Six. Guest included LeBron’s Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade and girlfriend, Gabrielle Union, Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and wife La La, Miami Heat president Pat Riley and head coach Erik Spoelstra, and singer Neyo.
The wedding was reportedly followed by evening cocktails, dinner, and dancing fueled by top DJs. But the main event was really the surprise performance by Beyonce! Yep, the singer attended the wedding with Jay Z and then performed “Crazy In Love” for the newlyweds, according to TMZ. Wow, we’re going to need to meet LeBron’s wedding planner!
But the celebration won’t end after one night. LeBron is putting on a three-day event, so on Sunday, Sept. 15, the weekend bash will conclude with a brunch feast. LBJ is currently chasing Michael Jordan on the basketball court, but it looks like he also wanted to top MJ’s massive April wedding.
He also took to Instagram and wrote, “When u have someone that’s always there for you no matter the ups and downs in life, it makes it all worth living for! So happy to call u Mrs. Savannah James #MyQueen #Backbone #QueenJames #Honeymoon”
LeBron James & Savannah Brinson’s Romantic History
LeBron and Savannah have dated since high school. They got engaged on Dec. 31, 2011, and they have two children together — LeBron Jr., 8, and Bryce, 6.
Before the huge three-day party, LeBron, Savannah, LeBron’s mother and several other close friends reportedly vacationed in the South of France. The group was spotted taking a boat to Cannes to have dinner at the restaurant Baoli, Page Six reports.
