Nick Jonas Raves Over Ex Selena Gomez: She’s So ‘Incredibly Smart’
“Selena has been incredibly, incredibly smart,” Nick recently told Entertainment Weekly. “She played me [her 2015 album] Revival maybe six months before it came out and I knew, like, this is excellent. I was such a fan of ‘Good for You’ and ‘Hands to Myself.’”
Obviously, those two songs went on to become massive hits, so Nick certainly knows what he’s talking about. He even said he’s “proud” of Selena, along with a few other stars you might know.
“If you want to talk about that sort of graduating class of 2008, I’m really proud – it’s a really good group. Regardless of some of the history between us [Nick, Selena, Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus] in different ways, there’s a general strength and empowerment that we all feel, still being in the mix and being in a good spot. It’s a cool thing,” he added.
Interestingly, Nick also dated Miley. And his brother, Joe Jonas, once dated Demi. Nick and Selena dated from 2008 until 2010, before she started romancing Justin Bieber. It’s funny how Nick didn’t mention Justin in the same context, but that’s probably because he just meant all the “graduates” of Disney.
